A Pine Grown from Stone
Inspired by East Asian penjing and scholar’s rock traditions, this work brings together the upright presence of a Buddhist pine and the quiet beauty of a water-worn Taihu rock. The pine suggests an aspiring, steadfast character, while the rock preserves the marks of time and nature. Through lost-wax glass casting, the hollowed, stone-like form becomes a translucent vessel, holding and nurturing the miniature landscape. As light passes through the glass and its openings, the serene spirit of penjing is transformed into a contemporary work of glass art.

作品介紹
以東方盆景與賞石文化為靈感，將挺拔向上的羅漢松與歷經歲月沖刷的太湖石融於一器。一木一石即成山林，藉由「木為林、石為山」的微縮造景，營造出遠離世俗的精神居所。作品蘊含深厚的東方哲理：以太湖石之剛對比羅漢松之柔，呈現動靜平衡；更結合自然侵蝕的「無為」與悉心培植的「有為」，實踐天人合一。透過枯山水般的「減法」意境，引領觀者沉澱心緒、觀照自我。

工藝賞析
工藝焦點在於光影的極致詮釋與精妙原型結構。主體菱形柱藉由厚實體量呈現深邃近黑的色澤，強烈襯托出內凹陰雕太湖石的剔透發光感，無論正背賞析皆能見迷人紋理。設計更藏巧思：將主體垂直稜線化為優雅曲線，與內凹輪廓共同勾勒出「隱形花瓶」的意象；下方則以陽雕太湖石平衡羅漢松的重心，兼顧穩定度與多層次美感，完美體現當代琉璃工藝之美。
